Vanessa and Amelia are sitting on the couch together, both overdrinking soda, and ripping huge burps and sometimes big deep bassy belches. Both girls are drinking so much carbonated fizzy soda, it's causing their burps and belches to get bigger and louder. And then...all the bubbly soda and belching makes Amelia get the hiccups!! She has strong and loud hiccups, and occasionally smaller squeaky ones while she is talking and laughing with Vanessa. It seems the more she giggles and keeps talking, the more she can't stop hiccuping. And the hiccuping is making her burp and belch too, she keeps having "combination" hiccup-burps, where she will have a strong hiccup and then belch right after. Her hiccups last for over 10 minutes, and are going strong the whole time. Occasionally she will feel like maybe they have gone away, but almost as soon as she says that, she'll hiccup again! She doesn't know how to get rid of them, and finally it is time for the girls to go get ready for the pool party they are going to that evening. Amelia might be stuck with the hiccups all night long at the party, who knows!
