I have another business meeting today with an important client and I hope he likes hiccups. I all dressed up in my blazer and black shirt, nice jeans, and belt. The only problem is that I seem to have gotten a case of the hiccups after eating a spicy lunch. They keep interrupting my sentences and come off as very unprofessional. Another thing that happens is that I occasionally burp alongside the hiccups, which I think will just gross the client out. As the meeting is getting closer the hiccups keep getting worse and worse and the burps are not helping, and I definitely cannot reschedule last minute, because that would be wasting my time and his. I hope these go away soon, it will prove to be a very awkward meeting for sure. I can only hope he secretly has some kind of hiccup burp fetish.
