It’s a beautiful summers evening, it’s been to long since I’ve used any of my older cars or even had any fun with them and I’m in the mood for a drive in the R5 while the sun sets.
Sounds like the perfect evening right? Wrong.
I had high expectations of the R5 but after putting its battery back inside the engine bay, I find out after sitting for so long it’s become a dud, it cranks very slowly then gives out. No bother, I plan to head out in the morning and buy another for it and delay our evening spin by a day.
The car isn’t as grateful as I thought for its new battery though and really doesn’t want to join me on a leisurely cruise it seems, I don’t really understand why the cars engine just flatly turns over. The battery is new, it has had a canister of new petrol, it was running well before I parked it up, I know it’s been left for some time while I’ve been waiting for surgery, but it shouldn’t be behaving like this!
Time passes and even a brand new fully charged battery has to come to an end and in my effort to get the R5 fired up, the battery slowly shows signs of getting flatter and flatter…

I don’t know how or why these things keep happening to me but after this, I went to put the brand new battery back on charge to find I’d melted one of the terminals filming this, that’s one way to ruin a new, expensive battery within 24 hours of buying it!
