Dressed in my white split-soled ballet slippers, leggings and vest top, I feel like a stunt person. Which is just as well, since I'm about to try a timed escapology challenge, in handcuffs, ankle cuffs and a connecting chain ensuring that I can't bring my wrists around to the front.

All I have to help me with the task is a paperclip, so as soon as the timer begins, I start bending it into what I hope will be the shape of a key, behind my back. And then, I try to insert it into the handcuff lock, behind my back. Will it work? Will I be able to get free? I talk through my ballgag as I try to explain what I'm doing.

After 5 minutes, I'm ungagged and we move the cuffs around to in front of me, to see if that makes the task possible...
