Nurse Paris is assisted with Vicky, the new intern for tonight’s shift. They are assigned to a patient who has had a major cardiac attack just a while ago and was rushed to the ER for immediate attention as she’s gone . The intern starts to perform basic CPR, repetitive pumping on the chest. She continuously does compressions as the nurse tries mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Akira does seem to respond, whilst the little chance of survival.

Nurse Paris decides to use the defibrillator on Akira as the case is getting more and more hopeless. She tapes on the defibrillator pads and the wirings on her chest, and presses the machine on. "Analyzing now" rings clear from the machine before concluding, "Deliver shock". Pressing down on charge, Paris charges the unit up before placing each paddle on each pad before announcing "clear!" and pressing the buttons simultaneously. Her chest thumps and rise rapidly, her swollen breasts are swaying and bouncing from being shocked. Both the medical works are doing their best to save this poor young lady, and they were getting ready to charge and perform defib on her for multiple times, adding compression in between.

Still, she doesn’t respond, and they are afraid they might actually let her go. But still hopeful, they charge the machine once more, but the screen shows her heart rate’s beyond irrational. Goddamn it. Her heart’s beating too weak and slow, and they seem to lose their guts of saving her.

With a couple of chest compressions followed by thorough mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, Akira’s vitals are slowly getting steady and consistent. Shooting their shot towards a life-and-D, 50-50 critical situation, they decide to do one last defib on her. Charge…and a loud thump and squeak is heard as Akira spasmed again, her body twitches all over the place as she gaspingly regains consciousness.
