REPOST

This is a tale of two police officers who need to redeem themselves with their boss due to a few screw ups that they have had on the job lately. Sgt. Rachel Adams and Detective Brianne Blu didn't know each other very well before, but now that they have been partnered together by the captain to keep them out of the way, they get an opportunity to get better acquainted and figure a way to get out of the doghouse.

Our story begins with Rachel and Brianne sitting in a patrol car commiserating about their situation. They have been assigned to patrol an area in the farthest corner of the county known as the “Boonies”. The captain's reasoning for this is to keep them out of the way and hopefully out of trouble, but they are not appreciating it one bit. As they sit in their squad sipping coffee, they exchange stories about their transgressions and why it is so unfair they be treated like this. They are getting a good laugh about it when a BOLO (be on the lookout) comes out over the radio, but they don't hear it. The radio beeps again and Blu finally hears it and checks the computer for the message. It's been reported that a dangerous lunatic has just escaped from an insane asylum and might be in the area. He is notorious for his crimes, one of which is taking out his entire family, cutting up their bodies and feeding them to the hogs. Our two officers immediately formulate a plan to capture the guy, get back in the good graces of the boss, and hopefully get their old jobs back in the process.

They head over to an abandoned farm that they know about thinking that it would be the type of place an escapee would go to hide out. As Rachel floors it and Brianne activates the emergency lights, the scene cuts to the farm where the crazed madman (hockey mask and all) can be seen trying to get into the farmhouse. He fails, but continues to wander the property looking for his next victim. Rachel swings the squad car into the driveway and the partners get out, the trunk is popped and they get some additional items to help make the arrest. They check the farm house and all the other buildings on the premises finding nothing and no one.

The main barn has been cleared and they decide to take a break from their search. With their guard being down, the fiend ambushes them from behind, cracks their heads together and they slump to the floor. He swiftly goes to work by restraining both our helpless heroines. Adams, he cuffs with her own handcuffs and leg irons and cleave gags her while Blu gets tied to a post with rope that was just lying around. He is satisfied with the job he has done and leaves, but will he be back? For the safety of our heroines, we certainly hope not.

Det. Blu awakes first and manages to escape her bonds. She goes over to Adams to help her escape but as she does, Adams also comes out of it and together they look for a safe way out. Adams calls headquarters, on her portable radio, for back up. They hear something outside and go over to a whole in the barn wall and see the masked madman wandering around outside. They see that if they run out of the barn right then, they can intercept him using the element of surprise. They do just that using a crowbar that they found in the barn to subdue him. He's a big guy and struggles wildly, but in the end they do manage to get him in handcuffs. He's exhausted and has no more fight left in him as the victorious officers march him off to their patrol car and put him in the backseat.

They congratulate each other and are confident that with this arrest they are out of the doghouse and will be back to work at their old jobs, but with a little more respect than before.
