Dakkota Grey is a detective with the local police, and oddly enough, on the burglary squad. On this particular day, after coming home, she walks in on a burglary in progress, in her own home! Almost immediately upon entering she notices some things have been moved. But just like that, before she has an opportunity to investigate, a masked intruder comes up behind her and knocks her out.

Fade In and she is out on the floor with the guy tieing her up with the only things handy, extension cords, telephone cords and even her own handcuffs. He also gags her with a handkerchief. He finishes snooping around her apartment and returns to change her position to a hogtie before he leaves. When she wakes, she immediately struggles to get free from her bonds. Once she does, she gets to her phone and calls her colleagues at the police department to report the incident and get help.
