Olivia arrived in the emergency room after suffering cardiac arrest at home while staying with a friend and being revived. The girl's heart is very weak and she is monitored by the three rescuers, while she is wearing an oxygen mask. In a short time the girl's heart gives out and she goes into cardiac arrest again. She immediately begins CPR, with strong, deep compressions and AMBU pouches. Olivia is stripped naked and lies on the ER bed completely naked. Doctors continue to struggle to get the heart to beat again, so many defibrillator shocks are administered, but to no avail. Olivia's heart goes into asystole, but only for a short time. Her plates are again placed on the girl's chest, now wet with gel, and her body is shaken several times. CPR resumes unabated, the doctors take turns to keep pressing hard on Olivia's chest. AMBU bags cause the patient's chest and belly to swell. After a long resuscitation and countless shocks, the girl's heart beats again and she recovers.
