Description
We start the new year with an old car that has seen better days. Purchased for hard revving clips, this Vauxhall also shows the engine issues it has with difficult starting and running, evident in this and an upcoming clip. In this first clip, Kelly dressed in her jumper dress, nylons and casual flats and viewed from the drivers side, gets in the garaged car and trys starting it. The Vauxhall had been sitting in the garage for a few days and straight away you can hear how hard it is to get started as she gives the pedal little caresses to help the engine along. The engine splutters and pops and with a few more attempts, the Vauxhall finally starts. Light revving follows as she warms the engine up and just after the 2:00 mark, the angle changes to the leg and pedal view for a minute as she continues to rev the engine. The free roaming angle then takes over the rest of the clip with shots on the exhaust as the cold, sitting Vauxhall bellows out exhaust smoke and during the revving, it seems as though the engine starts choking itself as it starts sounding pretty rough. The exhaust fumes suddenly stop and the view free roams back to Kelly as she still keeps the car revving. At 5:40 and with the engine idling, she feathers the pedal again only for the engine to clonk and stall and then the hard starting follows. The Vauxhall splutters and pops during cranking attempts and she does get it started again for more revving, but once she lets up on the revving and then press the pedal again on idle, the engine pops and stalls again. Hard starting follows again with a mix of free roaming views on the face, legs and pedals as the rough engine just wont start up again and is honestly, the dodgiest car I've had heard as the engine just pops, teases and clonks and with smoke and fumes starting to come from under the rear seats, Kelly had to escape out of the car quick as she couldn't get it started again. A wonderful clip that will please the fans of the Corsa and the fans of hard starting, dodgy cars. Running time - 9:18
