Finally the Fiesta is back in action....well almost.
The starter motor was the gremlin in the works with this old car, but on an early morning and with a new starter motor installed, this was the first start-up attempt and this is the result and you can't get more real than this!
The Fiesta had been sitting for a long time and is basically now ready for the road, but after this morning clip, I can honestly say this is one of the best cranking clips we have made!
This is real hard starting and we start off with over 3 minutes of cranking from the passenger side view with Kelly getting in the car, early morning wearing her robe, nude nylons and her white slippers and try starting it.
Cranking and pedal pumping away, the Fiesta is not starting but due to sitting for so long, it may require a bit of patience and lots of cranking to start.
The engine wont quite catch and after 3 minutes, the angle changes to the outside drivers leg and pedal view.
More cranking and varied pedal pumping continues with the Fiesta teasing and teasing her into starting, but it still wont quite catch.
Already this is the most hard starting the Fiesta has ever been, but Kelly still varies her pumping style to try getting this old car started.
The angle then gets closer to watching Kelly's small feet cranking and pumping away in her small slippers as she trys coaxing the car vocally into starting with the engine cranking and teasing away, and by now you know this is going to be a hard battle between Kelly and the Fiesta.
The last 7 minutes of the clip are the best pedal pumping and cranking I have witnessed, with the angle now viewed from the full body outside passenger side.
The frustration in Kelly's body language during this immense cranking scene tells the whole story about how hard this car is to start.
Leaning at times against the steering wheel, with the will slowly disappearing only for the engine to tease her whilst cranking and get her pumping away again in the hope of getting it started, is about as real as it gets.
She is desperate to get this car started after having such a bad time with it over the past few months and with cars whizzing past in the background and Kelly just pumping and cranking away trying to get her heap of a car going, this clip is just beyond words.
In the end, she just had to give up due to time issues and also not wanting to drain the battery completely, but this is just one of those clips you just want to carry on, just to see if she could finally get the Fiesta to start.
