Worse yet, due to the angle of her cast, it’s not long before there are run throughout the bottom of her stocking, and she worries they won't last even before she gets to work. She sits down to rest and wiggle her toes which are cold even through the hose, but within minutes she scrapes her poor long casted toes against the cement pavement and has to stop to check them out before continuing her long crutch to her job.
