"You would be talking on the phone when all of a sudden you feel a tickle in your throat. You clear your throat a few times, and say, "sorry I've had a tickle in my throat" to the person on the other line. You then proceed to cough loud and hard (of course however much you are comfortable with). Somewhere in between, you hear your friend tells you that you sound like a seal. You respond, "I sound like a seal?", then laugh which triggers you a hard long cough followed by more non stop coughing. You are able to say, "you guys always make fun of me for my barking cough, calling me barky or the goose".
