Montaska County Sheriff Rachel Adams is hot on the trail of the “Daring Daylight Bandit” whose MO is to just calmly walk into a store and quietly ask for the money. Most employees are trained to comply, and he knows that. Sheriff Adams' problem is one of manpower. Most of her deputies are not available right now for a number of reasons including sick leave and vacation.

 

Adams gets a lead and sets out by herself to try and catch the guy. Unfortunately for her he gets the drop on her first, disarms her and ties her up. He stuffs her mouth with her own bandanna and tapes it in place by wrapping it around her head. Later he comes in and flashes a big stack of cash in her face as she writhes and struggles on the couch. He leaves her there and makes his escape.
